On-Country Education Funding received for the Midwest!

We’re excited to announce that the ABC Foundation has been awarded funds by Lotterywest to deliver three years of On-Country Education in the Midwest.

With the support of Lotterywest as a Major Supporter and partnering with Yulella Aboriginal Corporation to act as the co-program facilitator we will be bringing our Welcome Me 2 Country, Bush Classroom, Ranger 4 Life and Lifeskills 2 Leadership programs to Meekatharra and Mount Magnet.

We will also work with the Shire of Meekatharra, Shire of Mount Magnet, Steven Michael Foundation, Mission Australia and Youth Focus to help understand their current programs and services to ensure complementary, holistic and sustainable support structures and opportunities are developed. Through this collaborative method the opportunities developed will have maximum engagement for Aboriginal Children. In addition the collaborative community model which is created will ensure ongoing sustainability for the program beyond the three year funding.
