How to Vote
Working at an Election
Would you like to work at the next Federal Election? There is a wide range of paid temporary roles available to suit everyone, from supervisory and administrative or logistics roles. You can also choose to work just on election day and/or before or after.
The AEC are looking for First Nations people to help fill their Polling Assistant Roles, which are always a fun time. Duties would include:
- Marking off names for electors and issuing ballot papers
- Ensuring ballot papers are placed in the correct ballot box
- Counting of votes after closing
- Cleaning of equipment
Positions are available in:
- Mt Magnet
- Meekatharra
- Carnarvon
- Karratha
- Millars Well
- Nickol
Anticipated hours 7.45am – 7.45pm and the rate of pay is $467 for the day.
