ABC Future Fund

The ABC Future Fund is a registered public fund administered by ABC Foundation Ltd and its primary aim is to provide funding to support ABC
Foundation's On-Country programs in line with its strategic plan. Funding for small one off community events will also be made available.

As a Community Partner of ABC Foundation your organisation will have the ability to apply for funding, based on availability, to deliver ABC
Foundation's On-Country programs with a focus on either On-Country Education, On-Country Care or On-Country Research and Development.

Our approach looks to increase our National regional footprint through embedding our community-led On-Country programs within our partnering
organisations, providing an independent funding source to achieve our collective social impact.

Grant Funding rounds will open in March 2024 and applicants can apply all year round, with the management committee meeting 2-3 times
per year to review applications.

Funding availability will determine the amount of applications approved, with Community Partner projects a priority. Our guidelines and
frequently asked questions can be found here.

Eligible applicants, predominantly Aboriginal organisations with an ABN, can access funding for projects aligned with the Future Fund focus areas, such as On-Country Education, On-Country Care, and On-Country Research & Development. The fund also offers small one-off event grants, providing financial support of up to $2,500 per applicant for community-centered activities.

*To apply for ABC Programs funding, you will need to apply to become a Community Partner of ABC Foundation.

To apply, organizations must submit their proposals through an online expression of interest platform, ensuring their initiatives resonate with the ABC Foundation's overarching vision and strategic objectives. Once applications are received, the ABC Foundation grants team facilitates a thorough review process, considering each proposal's feasibility, alignment with funding priorities, and potential impact on Indigenous communities.

For prospective partners not currently affiliated with the ABC Foundation, an eligibility assessment is required to ascertain the organisation's capacity to deliver projects effectively. Applicants are notified of outcomes within seven days following the fund's management committee meetings.
