DEB WILKES APPOINTED BOARD CHAIRPERSON OF THE ABC (ABORIGINAL BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION) FOUNDATION

The ABC Foundation is pleased to announce that Deb Wilkes will be stepping into the Chairperson role of the board.

Deb brings significant leadership experience in local government, not-for-profit and corporate business and adds specialist skills to support the Board in Compliance & Research. Deb holds a Masters in Research Design, Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management, Diploma of Management and an undergraduate degree in Youth Work. She is a Fellow of Leadership WA and a Fellow of Local Government Professionals. In 2012 Deb was named one of Australia’s 100 Women of Influence.

We’re looking forward to Deb’s leadership as the board Chairperson at an exciting time of growth and diversification.

We would like to acknowledge and thank the out going Chairperson Helen Slater for her commitment and expertise both at the Board level and supporting the CEO over the past 2 years during an unprecedented time. Helen provided strategic guidance and support at our most challenging time for the ABC Foundation and this contributed to the positive advancement of the organisation.
